Too cryptic? Not enough?
If you’ve read the tagline “Publisher of innovative horror and groundbreaking dark fiction,” you’re only missing one piece of the High Manor Press puzzle. We focus on indie authors and synergizing these under-discovered talents through anthologies.
So, maybe that’s two clues. Indies and an anthology.
But the theme is the big question right now. What is the theme? Just as the High Manor is steeped in ancient lore and horrors man was not meant to understand, the theme of the anthology, though not cosmic horror per se, preys upon the deepest fears and darkest imagination of humanity. Some things are older than man. Older than the earth. Older than time. And while eldritch gods barely notice us, other entities are enamored with us. Obsession rarely benefits the object of fascination.
We will announce the theme this spring. There will be an update to the exact date of the announcement.
P.S. The staff asked that I tell you, Duchess has been located. More precise, she just sort of showed up, sleeping on her velvet cushion as if she hadn’t been missing for nearly a week. She was quite displeased when everyone insisted on welcoming her back, petting her without her Grace’s permission. She received a fresh bowl of yums, though. So, all is well.
